About Us

Welcome to eau de Metropolis. We are a UK based fragrance sampling site that is made clean, simple and hopefully easy to navigate for everyone. You may have come across this site because you are just starting your fragrance journey of being a collector, or maybe already a full blown collector, or even a casual user of fragrances just for daily use. With that said, hopefully you already have an inkling of what turns you on in a scent & will probably have done your own delving or perusing, using word of mouth or even online services such as 'YouTube' and the like & maybe already know what type of fragrance style you are looking for & what ingredient notes are in the bottles, because there are many genres of fragrances such as: Fougeres, Spicy or Woody Orientals, Chypres, Gourmands, Leathers, Oud, Florals & Aquatics based scents etc'. That aside you maybe looking to make an affordable sample(s) purchase before buying a full bottle elsewhere. This site only sells sample vials from the, genuine original bottles, we do not sell full bottles. Sample(s) decants, glass or plastic are taken from genuine original bottles and decanted on order. As you will see on this site some descriptive reviews, short and long are given of the fragrances, the reason for the short reviews for some of the scents are because this site believes some online reviewers may explain it in a more nuanced style. Please take the reviews on here with a pinch of salt because all personal tastes are different, and all reviews/opinions as well as fragrance notes and ingredients are freely available at the touch of a button. Info: edt[eau de toilette] contains 5-15% perfume oils. & edp[eau de parfum] contains 10-20% perfume oils, which means it lasts longer on the skin. Now let us say this, we do not resign to pulse points such as behind the knee, kneck, wrist or other usual knee bone connected to the leg bone rhymes. Please be trusting on the next logic of how to show granny how to suck eggs & and it is this, it will also notify you what is a truly long lasting perfume which may also give you the real transitional breakdown of the fragrance throughout the day, including, sillage, projection & longevity: Your biggest pulse point is your heart which resides under your chest, which is under your clothing which again is the warmest part of the torso. Spray on the chest, give it a moment to dry & then spray the same amount on the closest garment to the torso, then let the fragrance macerate with your natural body skin scent, it will release itself slowly & organically throughout the day overwhelming peak comes at the 4-6hr mark where you, the 'protagonist' can indulge in the reason you acquired this self indulgence we share, please trust this gentle suggestion because it has 'power' so we may understand what the perfumer had in mind. Other sites you may want to use for written & oral information are: Fragrantica- Parfumo- Basenotes.
